Students are placed in the next appropriate cohort.
Mail the following materials to the Graduate School:
- Official graduate application: APPLY ONLINE
- Nonrefundable application fee
- Official transcripts from all attended universities
- Official general Graduate Record Examination test scores (last 5 yrs). Please see www.gre.org for more details.

GRE tests scores may be waived if the applicant already has a master's degree in a science or technology field such as engineering, physics or math. Contact the InfoSec Office for more information about waiver qualifications.

The personal statement focuses on the relevancy of the InfoSec program to the applicant's personal and professional goals.
As soon as the graduate school receives all of the required application documents, they forward the documents to the InfoSec program and send a confirmation notice to the applicant. Once the InfoSec program receives the applicant's materials from the graduate school and the applicant's resume and personal statement; the application review process starts. Our Admissions Committee usually finishes their review of the application in three weeks (it takes slightly longer in summer) and makes a recommendation. Applicants are advised to check on the status of their application after 30 days
Selection Process and Acceptance
Selection to the program focuses on the "whole person concept" which emphasizes academic achievement, GRE scores, work experience, and courses and training while employed in industry or government. The InfoSec Program expects GRE rankings to be better than 50% in each area.
Soon after the admission process is over, applicants will receive a formal letter of admission/rejection from the Graduate School. The letter indicates terms of acceptance. Applicants may be conditionally or unconditionally accepted.
If admitted conditionally, the student must:
- Take the appropriate preparatory courses before taking any other course in the program.
- Make a grade of B or better in each of the required preparatory courses. Making less than a B in any of the preparatory courses causes the dismissal of the student from the program.
Unconditionally accepted students are not required to take preparatory courses. The four online preparatory courses provide a foundation for the master's program, and students are encouraged to take the courses as refreshers. Students can further discuss the preparatory classes with their designated faculty advisor.
Tuition and Fees
Tuition for the 2008 cohort is $718 per credit hour. Tuition rate remains fixed for the duration of the program for each cohort.
Students in the InfoSec program are allowed to pay tuition for courses at the end of each semester. Students who receive tuition reimbursement from employers benefit from this unique billing options.
